The commission was to design a drum head using the Heaven's Metal Magazine logo and a background texture to capture the style of 80s metal music as well as match the visuals of the owner's drum set.
The Heaven's Metal logo has been recolored to emulate the energy of metal music. The yellow and red contrast against the black and are reminiscent of many metal band logos from years past such as Stryper, Iron Maiden, and Def Leppard. The background texture not only has the appearance of the sparkled drum set, but also contains a faint tiger pattern found in some of Heaven's Metal Magazine's logos or promotional designs throughout the years.
